In brief

  • Frown lines result from years of knitting the eyebrows, and botulinum toxin relaxes the muscle in a targeted way so that the skin above it looks smoother.
  • The result is noticeable within a few days, without surgery and without a long recovery time.
  • At Dermacare, Botox for one area starts from ILS 590, for two areas from ILS 990 and for three areas from ILS 1200.
  • Treating several adjacent areas, such as the forehead and eyes, gives a more harmonious result.
  • The treatments are performed by specialist doctors, and the final price is determined after a personal consultation and assessment.

The frown line, the vertical line between the eyebrows, is one of the most prominent expression lines on the face. No wonder it concerns many women and men. This line sometimes gives a tense or tired look. Many people find it particularly bothersome, as it is visible even when the face is relaxed.

The good news: Botox allows effective treatment of frown lines, without surgery or a long recovery time. How much will it cost you? And when is it worth choosing a package that treats several areas of the face?

Botox for frown lines – a small treatment with a big effect

A frown line usually results from years of facial expressions: knitting the eyebrows while thinking, reading or in the sun. Stress and concentration can also cause the forehead muscles to contract, which over time sets into a permanent line.

Botulinum toxin works precisely at this point: it selectively blocks the transmission of signals between nerve and muscle, thereby relaxing the treated area. The skin above it looks smoother and fresher, and the face opens up. Within a few days of the injection the result is noticeable: an alert, friendly and sometimes even younger look.

Many patients report that not only does their appearance improve, but they also feel more relaxed. Softened facial expressions have a positive effect on how you feel about yourself.

Botox costs for frown lines – what to expect?

The cost depends on factors such as:

  • The amount of Botox required
  • The number of areas treated
  • The experience and qualifications of the treating doctors
  • Additional services such as follow-up or a gentle touch-up if needed

Treating several areas is suitable for those who want a harmonious result. Smoothing a frown line looks more natural when adjacent areas, such as the forehead or eyes, are also slightly relaxed, for a fresh look without an artificial or frozen effect.

A reasonable price, a visible result

There are many clinics offering Botox treatments today, but not every clinic meets the same standards. At the Dermacare clinic, wrinkle treatments are performed exclusively by specialist doctors, which ensures a high level of safety, transparent information and a natural result.

Botox is a liquid protein that relaxes, in a targeted way, the muscles that cause wrinkles to form. As a result, the wrinkles are reduced. The substance is injected directly into the muscle that causes the wrinkle. The effect lasts between 4 and 6 months.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural, gel-like substance that is injected into or under the skin. Thanks to its ability to bind water, the substance adds volume to the tissue, and so helps reduce wrinkles or smooth the skin. Depending on the product used, hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body over 9 to 24 months.

After a treatment, physical rest is needed. It is therefore recommended to avoid intensive physical exertion such as sport, saunas and direct sun for 3-5 days, depending on the extent of the treatment. After that, you can return to normal activity without restrictions.

Within the first week, avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Depending on the treated area, a hyaluronic acid treatment takes about 10 to 30 minutes. If a prior consultation is needed, it is worth planning about an hour with us. Our doctors take the time to advise you thoroughly and to make the treatment as pleasant as possible.

In rare cases, skin reactions or infection, mild swelling or small bruises may appear. Therefore, avoid taking blood-thinning medication for at least a week before the treatment. Very rarely, effects such as temporary drooping of the eyelid or eyebrow, excessive tearing, headaches, dry mouth, fatigue, a tingling sensation or a general feeling of illness may occur. All side effects are temporary, according to current knowledge. Botulinum toxin treatment is prohibited in cases of neurological or muscular diseases, as well as during pregnancy.
