How many treatments are needed and at what intervals?
With SHR technology, between 4 and 8 treatments are usually required, at an interval of about 4 to 8 weeks between them, depending on the hair growth cycle. Repeating the treatment is essential, because only about 12-15% of hair is in the growth phase (the anagen phase) at any given moment - and only hair in this phase responds optimally to treatment. The length of a session depends on the size of the area: from 5 minutes for a small area up to about an hour for a full-body treatment.
How do you prepare for the treatment?
To maximise the success of the treatment, it is important to follow a few rules: avoid intensive sun exposure or a solarium for at least 2-3 weeks before and after the treatment; do not wax, epilate or pluck the treated area for at least 3 weeks before the treatment - the hair root must stay in place so that the laser can act on it; and shave the treated area the day before the treatment. For facial treatments, arrive without make-up.
Why does hair seem to keep growing after the treatment?
The hair follicles are destroyed during the treatment, but the hairs themselves remain inside the follicles and fall out naturally within 1-3 weeks, as the epidermis renews itself. Therefore during this period it may look as if the hair is growing back - even though the follicle is no longer active. A destroyed follicle does not produce hair again, and long-term studies confirm that the result is maintained over time.
Are there side effects?
Most patients do not experience side effects. The common reaction is mild redness immediately after the treatment, which usually passes within a few hours and at most within a few days. We do not perform treatments during pregnancy, and we recommend waiting 2-3 months after giving birth - at which point hair growth balances out and the treatment is more effective.

The SHR method, which uses four wavelengths, is the most advanced innovation in laser hair removal technology.
Long-term studies carried out over the years have shown that the effect of professional hair removal is long-lasting: hair follicles that have been destroyed do not produce hair again.
Most people do not experience side effects. A normal reaction is redness of the skin immediately after the treatment. This reaction usually disappears within a few hours or, at most, within a few days.
