Jawline contouring (Jawline Contouring) is a non-surgical aesthetic treatment that aims to define the jawline and chin, improve the facial profile and create a more sculpted, balanced and natural look. At Dermacare the treatment is personalised, with an emphasis on safety, precision and a natural result.
If you feel your jawline is less defined than it used to be, if you have a receding chin, a change in facial proportions, or less definition between the jaw and the neck, jawline contouring can be an effective solution without surgery.

Answers to the questions we are asked most often:
We use high-quality hyaluronic acid from the world's leading manufacturers, which contains lidocaine – an anaesthetic that helps reduce the sensation of pain. During the injection, lidocaine numbs the treated area, so the treatment is barely felt and is performed with minimal discomfort, thanks to the use of an extremely fine needle.
Hyaluronic acid injection works by creating a filling effect and adding volume to the treated area. In addition, hyaluronic acid binds fluids, which improves the moisture level of the skin, giving it a fresh, full and vibrant look.
Depending on the treated area, hyaluronic acid treatment takes about 10 to 30 minutes. If a prior consultation is needed, it is worth planning about an hour with us. Our doctors take the time to advise you thoroughly and to make the treatment as pleasant as possible.
Hyaluronic acid is well tolerated by the body, but as with any medical procedure, there is a risk of side effects. These range from common reactions, such as redness and swelling, to very rare complications, such as vascular occlusion or an allergic reaction. It is therefore important that the treatment is performed by an experienced doctor who knows the possible risks and knows how to deal with them if necessary. Common side effects include mild pain in the injection area, a feeling of tightness, itching, swelling of the lips (after lip augmentation) and bruising (appearing as blue marks), which disappear within a few days. Rare effects include disturbances in blood flow, infection in the injection area, or migration of the filler and the formation of lumps.
We place great emphasis on detailed consultation. During the consultation, our team and doctors will give you professional, personal guidance. You will receive a personalised assessment of the expected success of the treatment, the treatment costs and all the information you need to know about the process.
We use high-quality hyaluronic acid from leading manufacturers, containing lidocaine to reduce the sensation of pain. Injections are given with an extremely fine needle – for a short treatment with minimal discomfort and a natural result.
Through dedicated professional training for our team, we ensure the highest quality of treatment. Medical treatments are performed by doctors with many years of experience in aesthetic medicine.
The hyaluronic acid contains lidocaine, an anaesthetic that reduces pain during the injection.
Before every treatment there is a consultation with a doctor, during which you can get answers to all your questions and explore all the options suitable for you. Your treating doctor at Dermacare will talk with you before the jawline contouring treatment begins, to decide together which hyaluronic acid will suit you best.
A medical questionnaire is completed in order to identify and avoid possible risks.
A photo is taken before the treatment to document the results.
After the area is disinfected, the treatment begins. The hyaluronic acid-based filler is injected in small amounts into the skin using an extremely fine needle. The gel gives the skin natural volume, smooths existing lines and shapes the contours of the chin precisely.
The treatment takes about 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the treated area. The results of the injection are visible immediately.
Hyaluronic acid products break down over time through the body's natural metabolism. A maintenance treatment is usually needed after 9-12 months, depending on individual needs and the treated area.
After the treatment, mild swelling, the formation of a haematoma (bruise), pain or tenderness in the injection area may occur. These effects are usually described as mild to moderate and tend to disappear shortly after the injection. In most cases, they fade within a few days.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body. Chemically, it is a chain of sugar molecules with a very high capacity to absorb and retain water. In anti-aging, hyaluronic acid is used to treat wrinkles because of its ability to bind an amount of water 6,000 times its own weight – that is, one gram of hyaluronic acid can absorb up to 6 litres of water. In the human body, most hyaluronic acid is found in the skin, where it helps hold the cells together and keeps the skin moisturised. It is also found in the joints and the eyes.
From the age of 25, the body produces less hyaluronic acid, and by the age of 60 only about 10% of the original reserve remains in the body.
We use high-quality hyaluronic acid from the world's leading manufacturers, containing lidocaine – an anaesthetic that helps reduce the sensation of pain. During the injection, lidocaine numbs the treated area, so the treatment is barely felt and is performed with minimal discomfort, thanks to the use of an ultra-thin needle.
On the day of the treatment, your time at the clinic is about 1.5 hours in total. The procedure itself takes about 30 to 45 minutes, and before the injection you need to wait about 20 minutes for the numbing cream to take effect.
For jawline contouring, Dermacare clinic uses a variety of premium fillers. How long the result lasts depends on the type of filler chosen – you can choose fillers that last one, two, three or four years. The longer-lasting the material, the higher its cost, as it provides a longer-lasting result without the need for repeat treatments.
On the first day after the treatment, the swelling will be at its peak, and this is a natural process. In addition, slight bruising may appear in the injection areas. Usually, the swelling and bruising will decrease significantly within 1-2 days and disappear completely within 5-7 days. A preparation to reduce swelling can be provided if needed.
It is recommended to avoid physical exertion for two days after the treatment, and also to avoid sport, sauna, alcohol and blood-thinning medication such as aspirin and ibuprofen.

Common side effects include mild pain at the injection site, a feeling of tightness, itching, swelling of the lips (after lip augmentation) and bruising (appearing as blue marks), which disappear within a few days.
Rare side effects include disturbances in blood flow, infection at the injection site, or movement of the filler material and the formation of lumps.
Hyaluronic acid treatment (including lip contouring) should be avoided in the following cases:
It is recommended to avoid blood-thinning medication, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for several days before hyaluronic acid injections, as these medications may increase the risk of bruising (blue marks). If bruises do appear, they are expected to disappear within 5-7 days. If you are prone to herpes outbreaks, it may be advisable to take preventive anti-herpes tablets, as recommended by the doctor.
