How fillers work, what hyaluronic acid is, how Radiesse differs and what to know before treatment.
Revanesse, Juvéderm, Belotero, Restylane and Stylage are high-quality hyaluronic acid fillers that offer a gentle and effective alternative to a surgical facelift, with natural results lasting up to a year or more. Many doctors and patients around the world trust the natural results they deliver. Hyaluronic acid, as a substance occurring naturally in the body, is an important component of connective tissue. However, as the body ages, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases, which leads to loss of volume, moisture and elasticity.
This means that the structure of the skin improves and firms over time. While the gel provides immediate volume, the calcium hydroxylapatite is gradually broken down in the body and replaced by new collagen. This process ensures natural, long-term results, which are particularly suitable for deep wrinkles and sagging skin.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body. Chemically, it is a chain of sugar molecules with a very high capacity to absorb and retain water. In the anti-aging field, hyaluronic acid is used to treat wrinkles because of its ability to bind a very large amount of water relative to its own weight. In the human body, most of the hyaluronic acid is found in the skin, where it helps bind the cells together and maintain moisture. It is also present in the joints and the eyes. From the age of 25, the body produces less hyaluronic acid, and by the age of 60 only about 10% of the original reserve remains in the body.
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are particularly suitable for treating expression lines around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), marionette lines, hollow cheeks, hollows under the eyes (tear trough treatments) and the jawline. In addition, hyaluronic acid is also used to shape the chin, add volume to the lips and rejuvenate the skin of the neck and décolletage. At the Dermacare clinic, hyaluronic acid is combined in particular with the vampire facial, in which platelet-rich plasma is injected together with hyaluronic acid. This treatment helps smooth, tighten and renew the skin for a young, fresh look.
It is recommended to avoid taking blood thinners, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for several days before hyaluronic acid injection, as these medications may increase the risk of bruising. If bruises do appear, they are expected to disappear within 5-7 days. If you are prone to cold sore outbreaks, it may be advisable to take preventive anti-herpes tablets, according to the doctor's recommendation.
After the treatment, the skin may look slightly swollen, but this disappears naturally within a day or two. Slight redness and swelling may appear in the injection area, which usually settles within one day. In the case of lip injections, the swelling may last longer. Although it is recommended to avoid strenuous activity, you can return to your routine and daily activities immediately after the treatment.
For an aesthetic result at the highest level, the doctor's experience in injecting fillers is critical. All the doctors at Dermacare have undergone additional training and have extensive experience. For this reason, we can be proud of satisfied clients and excellent treatment results.
To achieve the best result with a long-lasting effect, we use only clinically tested hyaluronic acid fillers and Radiesse from well-known manufacturers. These products have been in use for many years.
In a personal consultation, the doctors will address your personal wishes and discuss the results expected from the treatment. You can learn everything about the treatment process, what to expect from it and the instructions for afterwards.
The hyaluronic acid contains lidocaine, an anaesthetic that reduces pain, so treatment is almost painless.
Before every treatment, a consultation takes place with a doctor, during which you can get answers to all your questions and examine all the options suitable for you. Your treating doctor at Dermacare will talk with you before the wrinkle filling treatment begins, in order to decide together which hyaluronic acid will suit you best.
A medical questionnaire is completed in order to identify and avoid possible risks.
To document the success of the treatment, a photo is taken before the treatment.
Before the treatment begins, the injection area is carefully disinfected.
Now the treatment itself begins: the hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin in small, predetermined amounts using an extremely fine needle. The gel gives the skin natural volume, helps smooth existing lines, improves the contours of the face or shapes fuller lips, according to the patient's needs. The filler itself also contains a small amount of anaesthetic, to make the treatment more comfortable. The treatment lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, and the results of hyaluronic acid treatment are visible immediately upon its completion.
Hyaluronic acid products break down over time through the body's natural metabolism. Usually, a maintenance treatment is needed after 9-12 months, depending on personal needs and the treated area.
After the treatment, slight swelling, haematoma (bruising), pain or tenderness may occur in the injection area. Usually, these effects are described as mild to moderate and tend to disappear shortly after the injection. In most cases, they pass completely within a day or two.
The treatment is carried out by Dermacare's doctors at our clinic in Petah Tikva.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body. Chemically, it is a chain of sugar molecules with a very high capacity to absorb and retain water. In anti-aging, hyaluronic acid is used to treat wrinkles because of its ability to bind an amount of water 6,000 times its own weight – that is, one gram of hyaluronic acid can absorb up to 6 litres of water. In the human body, most hyaluronic acid is found in the skin, where it helps hold the cells together and keeps the skin moisturised. It is also found in the joints and the eyes.
From the age of 25, the body produces less hyaluronic acid, and by the age of 60 only about 10% of the original reserve remains in the body.
Hyaluronic acid injections work by creating a filling effect and adding volume to the treated area. In addition, hyaluronic acid binds fluids, which improves moisture levels in the skin and lips, giving them a fresh, full and vibrant look.
We use high-quality hyaluronic acid from the world's leading manufacturers, containing lidocaine – an anaesthetic that helps reduce the sensation of pain. During the injection, lidocaine numbs the treated area, so the treatment is barely felt and is performed with minimal discomfort, thanks to the use of an ultra-thin needle.
It is recommended to avoid blood-thinning medication, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, for several days before hyaluronic acid injections, as these medications may increase the risk of bruising (blue marks). If bruises do appear, they are expected to disappear within 5-7 days. If you are prone to herpes outbreaks, it may be advisable to take preventive anti-herpes tablets, as recommended by the doctor.
After the treatment, the skin may look slightly swollen, but this disappears naturally within a day or two. Mild redness and swelling may appear at the injection site, usually subsiding within one day. In the case of lip injections, the swelling may last longer.
Although it is recommended to avoid strenuous activity, you can return to your routine and daily activities straight after the treatment.
Depending on the treated area, a hyaluronic acid treatment takes about 10 to 30 minutes. If a prior consultation is needed, it is worth planning about an hour with us. Our doctors take the time to advise you thoroughly and to make the treatment as pleasant as possible.
Hyaluronic acid is well tolerated by the body, but as with any medical procedure, there is a risk of side effects. These range from common reactions, such as redness and swelling, to very rare complications, such as a blocked blood vessel or an allergic reaction. It is therefore important that the treatment is performed by an experienced doctor who knows the possible risks and how to manage them if necessary.
Common side effects include mild pain at the injection site, a feeling of tightness, itching, swelling of the lips (after lip augmentation) and bruising (appearing as blue marks), which disappear within a few days.
Rare side effects include disturbances in blood flow, infection at the injection site, or movement of the filler material and the formation of lumps.
Hyaluronic acid treatment (including lip contouring) should be avoided in the following cases:
