What SHR technology is, how it works, who it suits and why to choose it at Dermacare.
SHR (Super Hair Removal) technology is an innovative method of laser hair removal. Unlike traditional laser systems, SHR operates using the "In-Motion" method, in which the laser moves over the skin in gentle motions, which makes the treatment more pleasant and gentler on the skin. At Dermacare we use the advanced Spectra Inwave 4 device, equipped with four-wavelength technology (755 nanometres, 810 nanometres, 940 nanometres and 1064 nanometres). This technology allows precise treatment of all layers of the skin, including the hair roots at different depths, and is also suitable for particularly light and fine hair.
Thanks to the advanced cooling system, the treatment is barely felt compared with older methods, and gives the skin maximum protection. SHR is a perfect choice for sensitive areas or for anyone who wants to avoid painful methods such as waxing or epilation.

The term "permanent hair removal" is defined by the FDA (the US Food and Drug Administration) as a significant reduction of hair for a period longer than the hair growth cycle in the treated area. The oldest method of achieving permanent hair removal is needle epilation. However, in recent years laser and IPL technologies have been used more and more for hair removal, with considerable success. The SHR method, which uses four wavelengths, is the most advanced innovation in laser hair removal technology.
Long-term studies carried out over the years have shown that the effect of professional hair removal is long-lasting: hair follicles that have been destroyed do not produce hair again.
Most people do not experience side effects. A normal reaction is redness of the skin immediately after the treatment. This reaction usually disappears within a few hours or, at most, within a few days.
The duration of the treatment depends on the size of the treated area. The treatment time ranges from 5 minutes for small areas up to an hour for a full-body treatment.
With SHR technology, between 4 and 8 treatments are usually required. Repeating the treatment is necessary because only about 12-15% of the body's hair is in the growth phase (the anagen phase). Only hair in this phase is optimally suited for treatment, since only hair attached to the papilla (the area destroyed through the denaturation process during treatment) can be fully disabled to prevent regrowth. The remaining hair follicles are in resting phases beneath the skin and can therefore be optimally removed only in later treatments. The number of treatments required for hair removal cannot be estimated exactly in advance, since every person has different individual conditions that affect the success of the treatment.
The cost depends on the area of the body and the size of the treated area. We offer significant discounts when purchasing treatment packages or treating several areas.
