In brief

  • A professional peel works at a controlled depth with medically effective substances, unlike an at-home peel, which affects only the top layer.
  • A fruit acid peel suits fine lines and sensitive skin, and a PQAge peel suits those looking for a result with no recovery time.
  • A TCA peel works at a greater depth and is suitable for acne scars, pigmentation and sun damage, under medical supervision.
  • A carbon laser peel cleans enlarged pores and stimulates collagen production.
  • The right peel is determined by skin type, sensitivity and goal, following a computerised skin analysis.

Smooth skin with refined pores and no wrinkles is something many people long for.The way to achieve it starts with choosing the right professional facial peel, tailored to your skin. But the uncertainty begins as soon as you start looking for the right peel. There are fruit acid peels, deep peels, laser peels and combined methods – but which professional facial peel is really the best for your skin? What are the differences, and how do you make a decision that does not just smooth the skin in the short term, but makes it look younger in the long term?

Why professional peels are more effective

Peels from the pharmacy or scrubbing grains over your face only reach the top layer of the skin. A professional facial peel, by contrast, works with substances of medical effectiveness and with a controlled depth of penetration. As a result, not only are dead skin cells removed, but deeper renewal processes are also activated: collagen production, the formation of new cells, lightening of pigmentation and smoothing of fine lines.

Anyone who longs for smooth, even skin will get from a professionally performed peel not only radiance and glow, but an improvement in the structure of the skin.

Which facial peel is the best?

This question can only be answered in relation to your skin. The best peel is always the one that is precisely tailored to your skin type, sensitivity level and goal. At the Dermacare clinic we have several proven peel treatments at our disposal, chosen individually for you.

The differences between the methods, and an overview of the most important variants:

1. Fruit acid peel for fine lines

A fruit acid peel is in fact ideal for anyone who wants to treat fine lines, skin blemishes or early pigmentation changes. The fruit acids work on the surface without irritating the skin, stimulate collagen production and immediately give the skin a fresher, smoother appearance. Perfect for sensitive skin and as a first step in anti-aging treatments.

2. PQAge peel – a noticeable glow with no recovery time

The PQAge peel is one of the most popular options when you want results without recovery time. It combines renewing active ingredients with an immediate tightening effect – without damaging the skin. It is especially suited to medium skin layers, fine lines, a tired complexion or before important events.

3. TCA peel – a medical peel for deep renewal

With a TCA peel, the work is actually done at a greater depth. This peel is suitable for more pronounced skin changes: acne scars, pigmentation spots, sun damage or deeper wrinkles. Because it works in deep layers of the skin, it is performed under medical supervision. The result: a renewed, smooth skin texture that gives vitality and an even appearance.

4. Carbon laser peel – deep pore cleansing and a refined complexion

In a carbon laser peel, a layer of special carbon cream is applied to the face and then removed with an Nd:YAG laser. The treatment is ideal for enlarged pores, skin blemishes, pigmentation spots and more.

When combined with HydraFacial or active ingredients, the skin receives intensive hydration at the same time. In addition, the peel stimulates collagen production, so the skin looks firmer and more elastic in the long term. This treatment is particularly safe and effective.

So how do you choose a type of peel?

Besides the method, the overall framework is critical. A peel is not an isolated procedure, but part of a holistic concept that includes skin analysis, preparation and daily skin care afterwards. Only when the skin is properly prepared in advance, and consistently cared for after the treatment (for example with sun protection, suitable skincare products and active cosmetics), can the results remain not only visible but lasting.

This means that it is not the product itself that is decisive, but the combination of expertise, support and personalised care.

Personalised treatment

A professional facial peel evens out the skin tone, refines the pores, lightens pigmentation spots, smooths lines and restores the freshness that many people look for in creams or home care.

If you long for wrinkle-free, bright and even skin, and want to find out which peeling method is best for your skin, we at the Dermacare clinic offer computerised skin analysis and an individually tailored choice of treatment.

In a personal consultation, our experts will find out which peel will bring you the greatest benefit.

Frequently asked questions

During the first three hours after the peel, the treated area must not be exposed to water or cosmetic products. After that, a moisturiser or sunscreen can be applied.

During a series of peel treatments, products containing vitamin A must not be used. Avoid sun exposure during the treatments and for up to two weeks after they end. In the event of sun exposure, use a sunscreen with a high protection factor (at least SPF 20, and preferably higher).

To prolong the results of the treatment, it is recommended to continue caring for the skin with dedicated products, such as creams containing a low concentration of glycolic acid.

Proper preparation of the skin before the peel, as well as the aftercare, is essential to the success of the treatment. Anyone who is not prepared to follow the preparation and subsequent maintenance instructions is advised to avoid any aesthetic facial procedure, since without proper preparation good results cannot be achieved.

Please let us know if you smoke, if you have previously taken Roaccutane tablets, or if you suffer from internal diseases. A peel must not be performed during an active herpes outbreak or other acute inflammation, because of the risk of the infection spreading.

Before the treatment, you will receive a personal prescription from us that includes:
– A paraffin-based ointment
– An anti-inflammatory cream
– A moisturiser
– A sunscreen

As part of the skin preparation, retinol (Retin-A) cream and/or hydroquinone cream must be applied daily for 4-6 weeks before the peel. The cream must be applied evenly over the entire treated area, and not only on problem spots. In addition, a moisturiser and sunscreen must be used as part of the preparation process.

On the day of the peel, do not apply any make-up. Wash your face thoroughly with soap and water before arriving for the treatment.

A peel is an effective treatment for covering large areas of skin. Depending on the type of peel chosen, it can significantly improve the radiance of the skin tone, reduce wrinkles and improve the appearance of scars.

This question can only be answered after a personal consultation. There are different types of peel, chosen according to the aim of the treatment.

A fruit acid peel acts on the upper layers of the skin, the PQAge peel penetrates the middle layers, while the TCA peel also reaches the deeper layers.

As with any aesthetic treatment, a peel requires preparation beforehand and complementary care afterwards. Depending on the desired aim, the specialist will choose the most suitable type of peel for you.
