In brief
- More and more men in Israel are turning to aesthetic treatments such as Botox, hair transplants and laser treatments.
- According to the Israeli Society of Plastic Surgery, around 20% of patients undergoing aesthetic treatments in 2024 were men.
- Popular treatments include Botox for wrinkles, laser hair removal, radiofrequency microneedling and hyaluronic acid injections for the chin.
- The process at Dermacare begins with a consultation and skin examination, continues with tailoring the treatment, and includes treatment under medical supervision and aftercare instructions.
- The cost depends on the treatment and the number of sessions, and in cases of significant scarring a subsidy from the health fund (kupat holim) may be available.
Aesthetic treatments have long ceased to be the exclusive domain of women. In recent years, more and more men in Israel have been discovering the benefits of treatments such as Botox, hair transplants and laser treatments. They are looking for ways to improve their appearance, look younger and feel good about themselves. The rise in demand shows that men want solutions that fit their dynamic lives. At the Dermacare clinic in Petah Tikva, we see this change up close and also offer aesthetic treatments for men.
Why do men turn to aesthetic treatments?
The perception that aesthetic treatments are “only for women” is quickly fading. Men understand that looking after their appearance is part of investing in themselves, like sport and a healthy diet. In a world of social media and virtual meetings, outward appearance affects professional and personal image. New technologies have also made treatments more accessible, with fast results and short recovery times.
According to the Israeli Society of Plastic Surgery, around 20% of patients undergoing aesthetic treatments in 2024 were men. These figures illustrate that men are looking for solutions that boost their self-confidence. At the Dermacare clinic, we help you achieve these goals in a way that suits your style.
Popular treatments for men
Men who turn to aesthetic treatments want targeted, natural results. Botox, for example, is a hit because it smooths wrinkles on the forehead or around the eyes within a few minutes, leading to a fresh, natural look. Hair transplants using methods such as FUE are popular among men dealing with hair loss, offering a full hairline that changes their self-image.
Laser treatments, such as hair removal or fading acne scars, appeal to men who want smoother skin. Radiofrequency microneedling such as Morpheus8 is another sought-after option, improving skin texture and reducing scars. Hyaluronic acid injections accentuate facial features such as the chin, for a masculine, defined look. All these treatments are tailored at Dermacare to suit the male facial structure.

Benefits and challenges of aesthetic treatments for men
Aesthetic treatments for men offer a simple way to improve your appearance, but there are a few things worth knowing:
- Benefits: treatments such as acid injections or Botox are quick treatments that deliver results visible within a few days. They boost self-confidence and fit into a busy routine. The results look natural, which is important for men who want to look well-groomed but not “done”.
- Challenges: some men still feel embarrassed because of stigma. Temporary side effects such as redness are possible, and treatments such as hair transplants require a financial investment. Realistic expectations are the key to success.
How is treatment carried out at Dermacare?
The process at the Dermacare clinic begins with a consultation. We listen to your goals – whether that is softening wrinkles, treating scars or something else – and examine your skin. We then plan a treatment that suits you, such as Botox, PRP, laser or microneedling.
The chosen treatment is then carried out under medical supervision. Finally, you will receive simple instructions, such as using a moisturiser or avoiding sun exposure, to maintain optimal results. We are here to make sure you leave feeling good and looking better.

How much do aesthetic treatments cost?
The cost depends on the treatment and the number of sessions. Botox and hyaluronic acid are relatively inexpensive but require maintenance. Microneedling treatments are more expensive, but the results are visible and improve over time, and laser treatments vary according to the area treated.
At a consultation at the Dermacare clinic, we will present all the costs to you and create a plan that fits your budget. In cases of significant scarring, you may be eligible for a subsidy from your health fund (kupat holim) – it is worth checking.

Frequently asked questions
Botox is a liquid protein that relaxes, in a targeted way, the muscles that cause wrinkles to form. As a result, the wrinkles are reduced. The substance is injected directly into the muscle that causes the wrinkle. The effect lasts between 4 and 6 months.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural, gel-like substance that is injected into or under the skin. Thanks to its ability to bind water, the substance adds volume to the tissue, and so helps reduce wrinkles or smooth the skin. Depending on the product used, hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body over 9 to 24 months.
At Dermacare, SHR systems from Spectra are used. The devices we use have been medically tested and clinically tested to ensure safe, effective and long-term hair removal treatment. The patented technology combines all the advantages of laser hair removal, without discomfort or damage to the skin.
The skin looks fresher and firmer shortly after the treatment, but it may remain red for about 24 hours after microneedling. The process of cell renewal continues for several weeks to months and is completed after about 6 to 8 weeks. The results of the treatment also depend on the initial condition of the skin.
After a treatment, physical rest is needed. It is therefore recommended to avoid intensive physical exertion such as sport, saunas and direct sun for 3-5 days, depending on the extent of the treatment. After that, you can return to normal activity without restrictions.
Within the first week, avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
