In brief
- Facial skin rejuvenation is built as a personal plan that starts with a professional skin assessment, not with choosing a single treatment.
- The main tools are injections, energy-based technologies such as laser, RF and IPL, and skin quality treatments such as skin boosters and microneedling.
- Botox treats expression lines, hyaluronic acid restores volume and smooths wrinkles, and biostimulators encourage gradual collagen production.
- IPL is suitable for sun spots and broken capillaries, and fractional CO2 laser treats fine lines, acne scars and rough texture.
- In most cases the plan combines several methods, and the order and frequency of treatments are set on an individual basis.
The term "facial skin rejuvenation" describes a wide range of aesthetic treatments aimed at improving the appearance of the skin, softening the signs of ageing and restoring its vitality and firmness. But the answer to the question "how do you do it right?" does not lie in a single treatment, but in building a precise, personal treatment plan based on a thorough professional skin assessment. The key is to understand the unique needs of your skin and to combine different technologies to achieve a natural, harmonious result.
How do you start a facial rejuvenation process?
This is the first question every patient asks. With so much information out there, it is easy to feel confused. The unequivocal answer is that the right process always starts with a professional skin assessment. Without it, any treatment is just guesswork.

At the Dermacare clinic, every treatment plan, big or small, starts with a consultation and assessment. This is not a superficial chat, but a clinical process in which we learn to "read" your skin in depth, understand the factors that have affected it over the years and, above all, listen to what matters to you to improve.
A quick overview of leading facial rejuvenation methods
To give a first overview, the following table summarises the main treatment categories and the main goal of each.
| Type of treatment | Main goal | Who it mainly suits |
|---|---|---|
| Injectable treatments (botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid) | Smoothing expression lines, restoring lost volume, subtle sculpting | Patients with dynamic wrinkles (forehead, between the eyebrows) or facial volume loss (cheeks, lips, temples). |
| Energy-based technologies (laser, RF, IPL) | Treating pigmentation, improving skin texture, firming and tightening | People with sun damage, spots, uneven texture or mild to moderate skin laxity. |
| Skin quality treatments (skin boosters, microneedling, PRP) | Stimulating collagen production, improving hydration, glow and elasticity | Anyone who feels their skin is "tired", lacking radiance or elasticity, and wants to improve skin quality from within. |
| Biostimulators (Radiesse, Sculptra) | Gradual collagen building for long-term firming and texture improvement | Those looking for a solution for skin laxity, with natural results that build up over time. |
As you can see, each treatment category has a different role. So the right course of action is not to choose a treatment on your own, but to start with a professional assessment that will determine which combination will be the most effective and safest for you.
Skin assessment: the starting point for everything
The first and most critical step is to understand the unique factors affecting your skin. To get a complete and accurate picture, we examine several parameters:
-
Internal factors: genetics, hormonal changes, biological age.
-
External factors: history of sun exposure (photoaging damage), smoking, dietary and skincare habits.
-
Current skin condition: we assess the level of elasticity, depth of wrinkles, presence of pigmentation spots and broken capillaries, the condition of the pores and the overall texture. We often use advanced diagnostic technologies, as in the computerised skin analysis process, to see what is happening in the deeper layers as well.
-
Setting goals and managing expectations: the most important part. We listen to you. What really bothers you? What result are you aiming for? Realistic expectations are a cornerstone of a successful treatment and satisfaction.
Our treatment philosophy at Dermacare: we do not aim to "erase" every wrinkle or turn you into someone else. Our goal is to give your skin a fresher, healthier and more harmonious look that reflects the best version of yourself. We believe in natural results that respect each person's unique facial features.
Building a combined treatment plan (Synergistic Approach)
Only after we have gathered all the information do we start building the treatment plan. In most cases, the plan will be based on a combination of several methods, because there is no single "magic treatment" that can meet all needs at once.
For example, a classic treatment plan may include:
-
Step 1: injections: we start with botulinum toxin to smooth expression lines on the forehead and between the eyebrows, and use hyaluronic acid to gently restore lost volume in the cheek area.
-
Step 2: technologies: next, we add a series of IPL treatments to treat sun spots and broken capillaries and create a more even skin tone.
-
Step 3: skin quality: at the same time, we support the process with skin booster treatments to encourage the skin to produce new collagen and elastin, which will improve its firmness and radiance in the long term.
The exact combination, the order of the treatments and their frequency are set on an entirely individual basis. This combined approach ensures that we are not just treating the symptom (the wrinkle or the spot), but the bigger picture, which leads to high-quality results that last over time.
Injections: the targeted solution for smoothing, filling and sculpting the face
When talking about facial skin rejuvenation, you cannot avoid talking about injectable treatments. Here we move from working on the surface to precise, targeted work in the deeper layers. This is the tool that allows us to smooth wrinkles, restore volume lost over the years and even subtly resculpt the contours of the face.

At the Dermacare clinic, we see injections as an integral part of any comprehensive rejuvenation plan. They do not work alone, but are combined with other technologies to provide a complete solution. These treatments fall into three main families, each with a different role.
Botulinum toxin (Botox) for smoothing expression lines
Botox is perhaps the best-known name in the field, but the active ingredient is botulinum toxin. Its role is simple and clever: to temporarily and precisely relax the small muscles in the face responsible for expression lines, the lines that form when we smile, frown or are surprised. Over time, these repeated movements "etch" the lines into the skin and make them permanent. Botox injections neutralise this excessive contraction.
The classic areas for Botox treatment are:
-
Horizontal lines on the forehead.
-
The "frown line" (the 11) between the eyebrows.
-
Lines at the sides of the eyes ("crow's feet").
The treatment is very quick, and within a few days you start to see the smoothing. The full result usually appears within two weeks. It is important to remember that treatment performed by skilled hands does not create a "frozen" look, but softens the expression and maintains a natural, relaxed appearance.
Hyaluronic acid fillers for restoring volume and sculpting
While Botox treats lines caused by movement, hyaluronic acid is the solution for static wrinkles and volume loss. It is a natural "sponge" molecule found in our bodies and responsible for maintaining the skin's hydration, volume and elasticity. As we age, its production decreases, resulting in "tired" or "drooping" skin, along with hollows and wrinkles.
From our experience at Dermacare: one of the most common complaints we hear is about skin laxity and the feeling that the face is "falling". This is a completely natural process. Surveys in Israel show that about 60%-70% of women and men over the age of 40 feel this laxity significantly. No wonder the demand for hyaluronic acid injections is constantly rising. They offer a quick solution, with minimal recovery time and results that are visible almost immediately. You can read more about using fillers for wrinkles here.
With dermal filler injections, we can:
-
Fill wrinkles and hollows: such as the lines running from the sides of the nose to the sides of the mouth (nasolabial) or the "marionette lines" at the sides of the chin.
-
Restore volume: mainly in areas such as the cheekbones, temples and chin. Restoring volume to the cheekbones, for example, creates a gentle lifting effect for the whole mid-face.
-
Sculpt and shape: we can define the jawline, shape the chin, fill hollows under the eyes, or of course shape and fill the lips.
It is important to know that there are many types of fillers with different levels of thickness. Matching the product, the area and the injection technique is an art that requires extensive experience and a deep understanding of facial anatomy.
Biostimulators: stimulating the skin to renew itself from within
This is the most innovative and fascinating category in the world of injectables. Products such as Aesthefill or Radiesse (Radiesse) work differently. They may give a slight filling effect immediately, but their real purpose is different: they "teach" our body to produce new collagen and elastin of its own again.
In other words, they do not just "fill a hole", but encourage the skin to repair and rebuild itself from within. The result is not immediate, but gradual and very natural. Over several months, the skin's texture, firmness and elasticity improve, and the effect lasts longer than with regular fillers.
The decision about what to choose, whether Botox, hyaluronic acid or a biostimulator, depends on the condition of the skin, age, goals and expectations. In most cases, the most effective treatment plan will be one that combines the different tools to comprehensively address all the signs of ageing.
Advanced technologies for skin renewal and tightening
When the skin needs more fundamental improvement, advanced technologies come into the picture. These are the most powerful tools in our arsenal for treating accumulated damage, tightening the skin and renewing its texture from within, all without surgery.

The magic of these technologies, based on light, laser or radiofrequency (RF) energy, lies in their ability to send the skin a controlled "signal" that reactivates its natural repair and production mechanisms. The result is not just an external improvement, but a genuine renewal process that takes place from within. At Dermacare, we have a range of some of the most advanced technologies in the world, so that we can tailor the exact protocol to each patient.
Laser treatments for skin resurfacing
When you want a significant change in the appearance of your skin, laser is one of the most powerful answers. The laser sends thousands of tiny, precise beams of light that work on two levels at the same time. On the outer level, it gently vaporises the damaged upper layer of skin, removing dead cells, pigmentation spots and superficial imperfections. At the same time, the energy penetrates the dermis and creates controlled heating. This heat signals the skin cells (fibroblasts) to start producing new collagen and elastin.
Fractional CO2 laser is considered the "gold standard" in the field. It is an excellent solution for problems such as:
-
Wrinkles and fine lines, especially around the mouth and eyes.
-
Post-acne scars.
-
Rough skin texture and enlarged pores.
-
Mild to moderate skin laxity.
IPL treatments for pigmentation and broken capillaries
If your main problem is uneven skin tone, sun spots or red broken capillaries, IPL (intense pulsed light) is a technology worth knowing about. Unlike laser, IPL emits flashes of light across a wide range of wavelengths. Melanin (the brown pigment in spots) and haemoglobin (the red pigment in capillaries) "absorb" the light energy, heat up and break down. The body clears away the residue naturally, and at the end of the process the skin has a more even, smoother and brighter tone. At Dermacare we use the Lumecca device, considered one of the most powerful and effective IPL devices available today.
Radiofrequency microneedling (Morpheus8) for deep tightening
This is one of the most impressive and talked-about technologies of recent years, and not without reason. It combines two powerful actions in one treatment and makes it possible to achieve tightening results that were not previously possible without surgery.
The device uses tiny gold-coated needles that create thousands of controlled microscopic injuries in the skin. These injuries activate the body's natural healing and renewal processes. At the same time, radiofrequency (RF) energy is delivered through the same needles directly into the deep layers of the dermis. The precise heating causes immediate contraction of the existing collagen fibres (an initial tightening effect) and, more importantly, massive production of new collagen and elastin in the months after the treatment.
From our experience in the clinic: combining microneedling with radiofrequency allows us to reach the deepest layers of the skin (up to 4 mm and even more) precisely and safely. This is a treatment that provides a real answer to skin laxity on the face, neck and other areas of the body, with results that can look like a "mini facelift".
The result is a combined improvement:
-
Tightening and lifting: the skin becomes firmer and tighter.
-
Improved texture: fine lines, scars and pores are blurred.
-
Contouring: ideal for defining the jawline and tightening the skin under the chin ("double chin").
The choice between laser, IPL or Morpheus8 is critical and depends on an accurate assessment. Each technology has its own strengths, and the right match is the key to excellent results. Treatments to improve skin quality and texture
After talking about filling and tightening, it is time to focus on the heart of the matter: the quality of the skin itself. Because what is the point of tight skin if it looks tired or lacks radiance? Healthy skin with a smooth tone and a natural glow is what really creates the young, refreshed look we are after. In this section we focus on treatments that work from the inside out, to nourish, renew and give the skin the tools to look its best.
Chemical peels: a controlled "restart" for the skin
A chemical peel is a long-established and effective treatment designed to gently and in a controlled way remove the upper layers of the skin, those that have absorbed sun damage and accumulated spots and dead cells. When this layer peels away, the skin begins a natural healing process and reveals a new, smoother and healthier layer. The secret lies in precisely matching the type and depth of the peel to the condition of the skin.

-
Superficial peel: this is the perfect "refresh" for the skin. It is based on gentle acids, such as fruit acids, which provide an immediate refresh and a radiant look, with almost no recovery time.
-
Medium peel: here we are already moving into more significant work. The peel penetrates deeper and is an excellent solution for treating pigmentation, pronounced sun damage and fine lines, and for improving overall texture. This treatment requires a few days of recovery, during which the skin peels to reveal the new skin underneath.
PRP treatments: the natural healing power of your own body
PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, is one of the most fascinating treatments in aesthetic medicine, because it harnesses the body's own healing abilities. The process involves taking a small blood sample and separating the plasma rich in platelets and growth factors using a centrifuge. This concentrated plasma, full of natural growth factors, is introduced back into the facial skin with gentle injections. The growth factors signal the skin cells to produce more collagen and elastin, improve blood circulation and give the skin a more vital, firm and even-textured appearance.
From our experience at Dermacare: PRP treatments are an excellent example of regenerative medicine. Instead of introducing an external substance, we use the body's own resources to stimulate it into action. The results are very natural and build up gradually.
Skin boosters and polynucleotides (PDRN): deep hydration and skin repair
This is the new generation of treatments designed to give the skin deep hydration and improve its quality from the ground up. It is important to understand that the goal here is not to add volume, but to hydrate, nourish and repair the skin from within.
Skin boosters are very superficial injections of hyaluronic acid with a thin, soft texture. The product spreads through the tissue, binds water and gives the skin an intensive "dose of hydration" over time. The result is supple, radiant skin and the softening of fine lines caused by dryness. If you would like to learn more, we have prepared a comprehensive guide to skin booster treatments for you.
Polynucleotides (PDRN) are a technological leap forward. They are cleaned and purified DNA chains that act as biostimulators. They do not add volume, but signal the skin cells to start repair and restoration processes, protect against free radicals and encourage increased collagen production.
These treatments are an essential part of building a comprehensive facial skin rejuvenation plan, ensuring that the foundation, the skin itself, is as healthy, hydrated and strong as possible.
Frequently asked questions
The sensation varies between treatments, but our aim is always to minimise discomfort. With injections, we use a local anaesthetic cream so the sensation is usually a slight, gentle prick. In technological treatments such as laser or Morpheus8, a feeling of warmth or tingling is possible, but here too, we control the intensity and use cooling and anaesthetic measures to ensure the experience is as comfortable as possible.
The answer depends entirely on the treatment method:
-
Botulinum toxin (Botox): You begin to see an effect within 3-5 days, and the final result is obtained after about two weeks. The effect usually lasts between 3 and 4 months.
-
Fillers (hyaluronic acid): The result is visible immediately. The change is already visible in the treatment chair and continues to improve in the days after. The result lasts between 9 months and a year and a half, and sometimes even longer, depending on the type of material and the treated area.
-
Technologies and biostimulators (such as Morpheus8 or Sculptra): These are treatments that encourage the skin to work anew. The result is built gradually, since the body needs time to produce new collagen and elastin. An initial improvement is visible, but the full result develops over 3 to 6 months and lasts for a long period of one to two years.
The vast majority of modern anti-aging treatments require minimal recovery time, if any. After injections, slight redness, local swelling or a small bruise may appear, and these effects usually pass within a few days and are easy to conceal. More intensive treatments, such as a medium-depth peel or Morpheus8, may require several days of recovery during which the skin will be red and peeling. We always provide precise, detailed instructions before every treatment.
It depends greatly on the goal. For treating a specific wrinkle, sometimes one treatment is enough. For a general improvement in skin texture, a course is usually required.
Botox and hyaluronic acid injections usually require a single treatment, followed by maintenance treatments. Treatments that encourage collagen production, such as Morpheus8 or IPL, are usually performed in a course of 2 to 4 treatments spaced several weeks apart.
A biostimulator such as Sculptra, for example, is a treatment aimed at gradual, natural improvement. Usually, a course of 2-3 treatments is needed to build the desired result.
In any case, building a personal plan in the consultation is critical, because the question of which anti-aging treatment suits me is completely individual.
