Summer is here, and with long, hot days many people ask themselves what helps against excessive sweating. Dark patches under the arms, unpleasant body odour, embarrassing moments in public and constant stress when choosing clothes – all of these can affect self-confidence and quality of life. When excessive sweating takes over your life, it is not only your clothes that suffer, but your self-confidence too.
So how do you enjoy a summer without sweat stains? Is it finally possible to move about freely and feel fresh every day without worrying?
When excessive sweating becomes a burden
Excessive sweating, known medically as hyperhidrosis, is more than a cosmetic problem. For many, it is a daily challenge. The combination of visible sweat stains, unpleasant body odour and the constant feeling of not being fresh can be particularly distressing. And all this despite careful daily hygiene.
The consequences? Frequent changes of clothes, constantly checking your appearance, insecurity in social settings and even social withdrawal. All of this contradicts what so many of us aspire to: a confident, well-groomed appearance and feeling comfortable in our own skin. For those who place importance on a well-groomed look, excessive sweating is sometimes perceived as a particularly significant nuisance.
When excessive sweating takes over your life, it is important to know what helps against it effectively, safely and in the long term. While deodorants and absorbent products offer only a temporary solution, aesthetic medicine offers a proven treatment that changes the rules of the game.
What helps against excessive sweating?
Modern aesthetic medicine offers an answer to this question; a proven method is treatment with botulinum toxin – better known as Botox. What many associate with smoothing wrinkles can also work wonders in reducing excessive sweating.
Expert doctors use botulinum toxin in a targeted way to inhibit the activity of the sweat glands in the underarms, palms or feet for several months. The result: sweating stops in the treated areas and your clothes stay dry, even when temperatures soar.

The benefits at a glance
Botox treatment for sweating offers many benefits:
- Fast effect: the change is felt within a few days of treatment.
- Long-lasting: the result usually lasts between 4 and 6 months.
- Gentle and safe: the treatment is almost painless, well tolerated and without side effects.
- Tailored to you: our expert doctors provide comprehensive, personal advice.
- Improved quality of life: greater self-confidence and a feeling of freshness.
What seems like a small problem to others can deeply affect the lives of those who suffer from hyperhidrosis. Botox treatment changes that. Many patients report a significant change in their lives just a few days after treatment.
A new sense of your body develops – dry, well-groomed, free. Not only do your clothes stay clean, but your self-confidence returns. The little things that used to come with insecurity become enjoyable again.

Frequently asked questions
Botox is a liquid protein that relaxes, in a targeted way, the muscles that cause wrinkles to form. As a result, the wrinkles are reduced. The substance is injected directly into the muscle that causes the wrinkle. The effect lasts between 4 and 6 months.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural, gel-like substance that is injected into or under the skin. Thanks to its ability to bind water, the substance adds volume to the tissue, and so helps reduce wrinkles or smooth the skin. Depending on the product used, hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body over 9 to 24 months.
After a treatment, physical rest is needed. It is therefore recommended to avoid intensive physical exertion such as sport, saunas and direct sun for 3-5 days, depending on the extent of the treatment. After that, you can return to normal activity without restrictions.
Within the first week, avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
Depending on the treated area, a hyaluronic acid treatment takes about 10 to 30 minutes. If a prior consultation is needed, it is worth planning about an hour with us. Our doctors take the time to advise you thoroughly and to make the treatment as pleasant as possible.
In rare cases, skin reactions or infection, mild swelling or small bruises may appear. Therefore, avoid taking blood-thinning medication for at least a week before the treatment. Very rarely, effects such as temporary drooping of the eyelid or eyebrow, excessive tearing, headaches, dry mouth, fatigue, a tingling sensation or a general feeling of illness may occur. All side effects are temporary, according to current knowledge. Botulinum toxin treatment is prohibited in cases of neurological or muscular diseases, as well as during pregnancy.
